Commercial Glass Repair

Commercial Glass Repair

Our team did a big Commercial Glass Repair job last week – actually it was a full glass replacement, on Richards Street in downtown Vancouver.

Our client was one of the businesses that received damage during the Stanley Cup Riot in June. Several of our clients were hit in the riot, and our Action Glass team had them all fixed up and open for business immediately – in the case of London Drugs, by the next morning!

In the case of our Richards Street client, we needed time to get permits to close off the street so we could get our crane and vacuumation equipment in place. We have a bunch more photos of this very delicate operation, which we will put in a slide show here on our website. Come back to check it out. We got some great shots!

Vancouver Riot

On behalf of everyone here at Action Glass Inc, we want to express our admiration for all the people who turned out to help with the clean up after the Vancouver Riot last week. And also, all those who wrote positive messages on the boarded-up windows of those businesses that were attacked. We believe that those people helped to show the world that true Canucks Fans do not attack, destroy and loot. True Canucks fans love the team despite their loss against Boston, and would never tarnish the team's name with the kind of terrorist-type acts that a few hoodlums performed that night.

Although we were disgusted and saddened by the riot, we were proud to play a part in the restorations.

Action Glass was called in to replace storefront windows after the Vancouver riot.

Our company was called in to replace the broken windows at London Drugs, one of the first businesses hit, and one of the hardest hit.

We are proud of the fact that we had the London Drugs' storefront completely restored by morning. Some of the people who came down to see the aftermath on the morning after, could not believe how fast London Drugs fixed their broken windows. Most all the other businesses still had boards over their windows for a few days after the riot!

Here is a video taken by a Vancouver-ite the morning after, and at the 6:42 mark, he talks about his surprise at  how fast London Drugs was fixed up. He doesn't mention us because he doesn't know who did the deed, but it was us, Action Glass. :)

If you happen to have pictures or  video of us while we were working at London Drugs, we'd love to see them!
