What you need to know
All quotes, estimates, work orders and invoices are assigned a reference number beginning with a letter followed by a series of numbers. When contacting Action Glass, please have this number available to assist in searching the order.
Quotes and estimates – Pricing is valid for 30 days from date submitted for review and may not be inclusive of any additional costs, such as permits, required to complete the project. For example: sidewalk closure and parking lane closure permits. Quotes and estimates are provided based on continuous access to the property and suites when applicable. Timelines may be affected by seasonal fluctuations in supplier productivity and whether the product is readily available. Specialty or custom orders may take longer. Any changes by the client after approval has been received may result in pricing adjustments. Once a quote is approved, the client will be responsible for any expenses incurred if they should cancel the order for any reason.
Low E and Coloured Glass – Due to the age and type of existing Low E and coloured glass, new replacement Low E or coloured glass may not be an exact match to what is currently installed at a client's property.
Roof Anchor and Chair Drops – Where the product is in an area that requires scaffolding, lift equipment or certified rope access, the client will be responsible for the cost of such said equipment. The Client is responsible for providing access to all required rigging locations and ensuring that the area at ground level is clear for building of any stages. Confirmation in writing is required that all anchors be currently certified for use and that power hook-up is easily accessible.
It is the policy of Action Glass Inc., that where a building has their own staging and/or lift equipment, the Client is responsible for all costs associated with providing any training required to safely operate the client’s owned equipment. This is to ensure the safety of the technicians, clients, occupants of the residence and the public and also complies with WorkSafe BC Regulations, specifically Section 13.2 requiring that elevating work platforms must be used in accordance with the applicable standards.
All chair access rope drops are performed by certified trained technicians.
Removal of Furniture, Other Items, Blinds, Window Treatments - It is the responsibility of the client / occupant to move all furniture, plants, boxes or other items and remove all blinds and/or other window treatments PRIOR to the scheduled installation date. Action Glass Inc. is not responsible for any accidental damages caused to furniture, or other items left in the area or removal / reinstallation of any window treatments by our technicians to facilitate the installation of product. Should we be required to remove and reinstall these items, there may be an additional charge for that time.
Action Glass Inc. complies with all WorkSafe BC Regulations regarding PPE which includes the wearing of protective footwear. Drop-sheets and other measures are taken to protect the client's space. Please understand that if a technician is wearing work boots inside the property they are working at, it is to ensure that they are adhering to these rules and regulations.
Clients Own Glass and Glass Stops (mouldings) - Action Glass Inc. takes every precaution to prevent glass breakage when working on, handling, or removing the client's own glass or glass stops (mouldings) for the purposes of any repairs. In the event of accidental breakage, Action Glass Inc. will not be held responsible for the cost to replace the client's own glass.
Warranty Terms & Conditions
Insulating Glass Units (IGU) or Sealed Units – Supplied & Installed – Along with the Manufacturer's Warranty** against seal failure, Action Glass Inc., offers a two (2) year Warranty on materials and labour required against seal failure. Note that this does not include certified rope access labour.

Hardware – Supplied & Installed – Action Glass Inc. offers a 90-Day Installation Warranty on new parts and labour required. Note that this does not include height access labour. Some manufacturers offer various lengths of replacement warranties. (Labour is not included past 90 days)
This warranty does not cover damage caused through installation in a wet environment, or in a damp or moist environment or in a structure that admits to water intrusion. It further does not cover damage caused through the faulty design of the client's residence or business, careless handling, misapplication, alterations or applying solar film products to IGU's.
Action Glass Inc. reserves the right to refund a portion of the Client's purchase price of the product in lieu of providing a replacement component. Where the product is located in an area that requires scaffolding, lift equipment or certified rope access, the customer will be responsible for the cost of such said equipment and/or certified rope access labour.
Action Glass Inc is not liable for glass breakage, damage or failure due to an accident, misuse, abuse, vandalism, riot or civil commotion, or acts of nature including but not limited to fire, flood or earthquake. Breakage caused by settling of the architectural structure in which the sealed unit is installed is not covered in the warranty. Use of harsh, abnormal or abrasive chemical cleaning products will void the warranty.
** Any modifications, alterations, or attempted repair of the product by anyone other than Action Glass Inc., will void all warranties offered by Action Glass Inc.**
Who is covered? This warranty extends to the Original Purchaser of the product, starts on the date of installation and is effective for 90 days on hardware and two (2) years on Insulated Glass Units, as long as the Original Purchaser still owns, resides or leases the location where the product is installed.
Note: Date of purchase is the same as date of installation. Action Glass Inc. reserves the right to request proof of purchase for any warranty claim to be submitted.
All warranties on product(s) not fully paid for will be voided.
